Before exploring the village of Megalochori, have your photo taken at its secret area, the Heart of Santorini, hidden in the clifftops of Megalochori and visited only by those who know of its whereabouts!
From there we will take you to the traditional and tranquil village of Megalochori otherwise translated as the Big Village, a hidden beauty within the heart of Santorini photographed for its famous neoclassical architecture and arched tower bell belonging to the church Zoodochos Pigi.
Take the chance to visit the grounds of Profiti Ilias Monastery, which dates back to 1711 and is situated at the highest point on the island approx. 567m above sea level. The monastery is closed but its grounds are open allowing all visitors to admire its amazing panoramic views with an almost 360degree outlook of the island.
Lying north of the capital, we will then take you to Firostefani, the highest point of the capital, with its name meaning ‘Crown of Fira’. Take in the wild beauty of the caldera whilst admiring the blue domes Santorini is all too famous for.
Finish your tour with a visit to the sophisticated charming and Legendary Village of Oia situated north of Santorini. An inspiration to all artists, poets and visitors with its breathtaking views of the caldera and whitewashed sugar cubed houses and undisputed most beautiful sunsets, a ‘Must’ to see when in Santorini.

If you are arriving by cruise boat for the day, anyone who arranges an independent tour must note they will be disembarked at the old port and from there the cable car (or donkeys) must be used to reach the top of the cliff and Fira Town.
The meeting point is usually outside of the exit of the cable car, and the whole process of reaching the top takes approx. 2hours from the time cruise ship arrives
